That's "taking the high road" if you're Joe Riggs. On this past Monday's episode of Pro MMA Radio, Riggs planned to take the high road in an interview with host Larry Pepe, but upon learning that Shields hasn't had the kindest words towards Riggs recently, "Diesel" absolutely went off, including said comment about Shields' hands among many other things.

Great interview, Sheilds should just fight Riggs its not as though he's got that much competetion o be really picky is it?
Sheild's stand up is weak but he's a dngerous grappler and I'd be picking Jake, that said I think he's well over rated, so was Lawler

Wow, what a joke. Shields will absolutely rape this man. And up top, how the hell is Sheilds overrated? He's one of the few people who's beaten Okami who's a HUGE MW, out grappled him. Hes beaten Carlos Condit, not to mention he raped Jon Fitch in a submission match. And I'm a huge Fitch fan saying that.

Well first off,i think it would be a good fight for both.Joe would have ntohin to lose though.Shields would have everything to lose and that prerssure would play into Joe's hands!While most people think Shields's hands are a joke,i think he has improved alot.Joe has got fair hands and a pretty good ground game.I don't think this is a walkover though.I mean who thought Shields was going to submit Lawler in 30 seconds or whatever.This fight should happen.

Shields hands are week and fair at best, but he does make up for that with his ground work. Jake has slick subs and his grappling is great, but still his hands are trash, weather he is standing or gnp. Anyone remember, his fight with Paul Daley?? He had full mount and was trying to pound him out (for several minutes) while Semtex was smiling andit even looked like he laughed a little too. But this is why it's called MMA and not boxing, so he don't need to have that good of hands, since he can make up the rest with his jits.
