Although he's ready to take the next step in UFC, Dan Hardy says don't be so "Quick" to put him up against Mike Swick. Hardy's not against the fight later on but right now he feels Swick needs a "bigger fight" than him.

I think that Hardy needs Matt Brown. I'm still rooting for a Swick/Anthony Johnson fight.

Swick vs Kampmann would be a war. I like it.
Hardy should fight... Yoshiyuki Yoshida again? Settle the ball kicking thing once and for all!

Of course he doesn't want to fight Swick--because he doesn't have the wrestling to stay on his feet.
I think he would also struggle against Kampman--because again--takedowns.
I'd like to see him face Carlos Condit. Two good strikers with limited wrestling--although Condit is light years ahead in BJJ, I don't think that aspect would come into play.

Hardy just moved up a notch in my book after reading that interview... That puts him at notch 1
Haha I'v been waiting ages to use that! Anyway yeah I think he'd lose to Kampmann and Swick so let him fight Johnson an see is he can handle the power an speed of him before he moves up to Kampmann an Swicks level.

Dan Hardy vs. Matt Brown would be a great fight. I hope this happens. I agree with Hardy. There's no way he'd stand a chance against Mike Swick. I was thinking Martin Kampmann but that might be too big a fight for him right now.
Kampmann vs. Johnson Hardy vs. Brown Swick vs. Hughes
Those would be logical choices for there next fights. Although I think Swick will murder Hughes. It's probably going to happen.
