the first Die Hard is my favorite christmas movie, i saw a poster for die hard 4 outside a movie theatre last week and was wondering why i hadnt seen a trailer for it yet. i really hope they go back to the whole "trapped in a building full of terrorists" thing, i like die hard 3 but IMO its more suspensful when the terrorists are searching for mclane and its in a limited enclosed area with no way out. love die hard its one of the best movies ever!

From the trailer, it really doesnt look like its confined to one building.
But I agree, The Die Hard films are the best christmas films bar none, the BBC show the trilogy every year at Christmas.

BTW, I heard rumours that Die Hard 3 was originally scripted to be a lethal weapon movie, hence the need for Samual L Jacksons character. Or I could have just been lied to.

I knew there was a reason that I didn't buy the boxset yet....
I think most of us grew up in the diehard era... It was one of the benchmarks of the golden age for the really great action movies from the 80s & 90s... Die Hard, Commando, Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, etc...

actually it was a movie titled Simon Says with baiscally the same plot, but the producers didnt have much money and didnt want the movie to look too budget so they sold the script, lethal weapon people probably considered buying it but die hard people got it. the only reason i know this is because i was watching die hard 3 an fx and they do this "dvd on tv" thing and that was one of the bonus features or extras.
