i'm a Davis fan, a HUGE Davis fan, and personally i gave that fight to Hardy. but that is just the point, it doesn't matter who i thought won, who you thought won or who Davis thought won, what matters is who the three judges thought won. there is an unspoken rule in MMA that states you can't complain about a decision since you were the one who let it go to the judges in the first place.

Hardy won. he got the best of Marcus in the exchanges. he was finding a home for that left hand all night. rocked marcus 2 times and in the 3rd after Hardy cut Marcus open Marcus had a hard time even standing up. Marcus won the first round and Hardy won the 2nd and 3rd rounds. 2nd round was all Hardy and the 3rd round Hardy won the stand up exchanges and did more with his advantageous position for the last half of the round. 29-28 Hardy

Hardy won. If anybody should be complaining it should be Dan. I know cuts have to be checked, but the way Marcus stumbled back up to his feet makes me think he was close to being finished.

Dan should be very pleased with his preformance.

I thought Davis won but i don't like when fighters try to dispute the results when they leave it in the judges hands. saying..."i thought i won but i'm not a judge" or something like that is fine. I don't mind when fighters dispute scenarios like what happened to Al Turk/anthony johnson. I like how rich franklin or wandy handle losses. good dudes.

Marcus should shut his mouth and move on. This is how you lose fans and respect even though i totally believe he won that fight.

Regardless of who everyone thinks won the fight, it was way to close for Davis to act like this.

used to be a big davis fan, but he looks like a whiney little baby on this one, i thought hardy won, but i can see how a judge gave it to davis, in a fight that close you have no gripe, take the loss like a man and move on.

hardy landed a knee and an elbow. other than those two big shots davis won the fight. he was more aggressive, won most of the exchanges, attempted more submissions, and controlled the octagon. the ufc needs to decide if the decision is a beauty contest at the end of the fight or choose the person who really won the fight!

IMO Marcus won in the control catagory(ussually how the UFC scores) and Hardy won in the damage department(how Japanese mma is ussually scored). I'm happy how it went since I think damage should dictate.

Exactly. I am getting sick of fighters getting upset about losing close decisions. If the fight is close, it could go either way. Hardy was getting the better of it on the feet. Davis had some effective top control. Neither had reason to complain if they got the loss because they never made it decisive. It was a great fight. There should be no real loser, both fighters should be commended on their efforts. But Davis is the definite loser now because he wouldn't bury the hatchet when hardy extended his hand and he is acting like a sore loser with his complaints. Take it like a man, Davis. It will get you a lot farther in everyone's eyes because there was no shame in losing that fight, but there is shame in not accepting the result and moving on.

disagree, look at davis' left eye and you will see some major swelling (not just around the eye but coming off his face), as well as cuts and other damage to his face, far to much for just a knee and elbow. everyone talks about octagon control but thats not the entire way to judge the fight, its only 1 part. damage is also a part

Davis has really come off this Hardy fight looking really bad. Hardy won the fight because the Judges said so. At least Hardy was the bigger man after the fight and wanted to apologize and everything. Davis acted like a baby, a gatekeeper for the Welterweight Division baby.

first round was close (but i gave it to hardy) and the last 2 all hardy. Davis is just a sore loser. he let his emotions get the best of him in the cage and obviously its still clouding his vision.

was one of those rare grusge matches that lived up to the trash talk.

Marcus Davis controled the fight and just because he has a messed up face now doesnt mean he lost the damn fight. Thumbs down to bad judging.
