Smith has been in some wars. Diaz, Radach, Lawler, Sell. he should get a mandatory cat scan! But what a scrapper!

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone who's taken more shots, but Olaf Alfonso usually lets his opponents use his face as a punching bag. Either way, he's won me over(and i'm sure many more) as a fan during this stretch. I know when Scott Smith is on a card, i'm garunteed at least one exciting fight.

Scott Smith has a classic Muay Thai reaction counter based style. He basically waits till you leave an opening then bam, you're done.
But the biggest weakness to that style is a long tall fighter who uses straight punches. So Robbie Lawler and Nick diaz are made to kill that style.
I'm not gonna say Smiths defense is tight by any means but you gotta understand the style first. Secondly, he didn't even put his hands up the whole fight.
I'm thinking he can't adjust whatsoever. He just knows how to be more or less aggressive. But I hope it never changes because every fight the guy's in is amazing.
Could you imagine a fight between that guy and Leben, or Baroni.
