Electronic Arts' Peter Moore has just announced that the giant publisher is finally making a mixed martial arts game under the EA Sports brand. Dubbed EA Sports MMA, the game is set to go on general release sometime in 2010.

EA Sports MMA

I hope Fedor is on the cover!!

Awesome, if they use the Fight Night engine this game is going to be sick. It seems like things could get pricey if they're dealing with multiple organizations--but it will be really difficult to make a decent roster without the inclusion of Affliction, Dream, and Strikeforce.

a Roster for this game could be flat out amazing.
Imagine having guys like Fedor,Frank Shamrock,Barnett,Lindland,Brett rogers,Scott Smith,Robbie lawler, etc all in one game.

Hopefully we would see cross weight class fights ability in the game as well.

Dont foget that Randy will most likely be in the game. The reason why he wasnt in the UFC was because he was under contract with EA.

Let's see EA step up and actually have the ability to put out some south paw fighters.

They'll easily be able to beat Undisputed's roster size, with the whole world to choose from.

Plus they can learn from its mistakes.

Undisputed 2 (or whatever it's called) may be coming out around the same time. Could be a good war.

They need Randy to launch this game. I am not sure if he can be in it nor am I sure any pre-Zuffa UFC fighters can as well. Zuffa bought the UFC's rights and Pride's. Of course those rights prob weren't tied up in contracts.

I see lots of lawyers making money.

If they can't get pre Zuffa fighters, it will be a tough sell. Let's remember, the casual US/UFC fan doesn't truely enjoy the talents of Fedor, Barnett, Aoki, Kid, Gegard, Sak, etc...

I want SAK!!!!!!!

Learn how to block, I hope they have better fighting styles. Undisputed is too cookie cutter. I enjoy it but it really does have a long ways to go before its as real Madden. EA puts out the best sports games, so it would only be logical that their game will be awesome!! Can't freaking wait!

I would love it if it came out for Wii too. However it seems highly doubtful
