He chose to sit this last fight out and I am pretty sure he chose to be the TUF 10 coach. He would rather fight Rashad than Lyoto which is understandable. I don't think Rampage has any better chance than Rashad did.

This is proof that He would rather fight Evans

Spike put out the press release today making it official, as well as the format for season 10: HEAVYWEIGHTS! Might only be 16 instead of 32 though.

My initial feelings were that rashad should have fought shogun, but based on the way rashad fell back on his leg i imagine surgery will be in his near future. Machida usually takes a lot of time off so i dont see this holding off the belt any longer depends when the show ends, because my undrstanding is they just started filming, rashad and rampage will fight. just not immediately like we are used to

it seems like nobody in here read the article. it will not hold up the LHW div. since the article said the fight would happen in september when the season is set to debut. i dont mind the move, there is def some heat between the 2 and it makes for a very entertaining fight WHEN it happens between the 2.

After all that happened with Rampage after he lost the title to Forrest, you'd figure he'd jump at the very first opportunity at a title shot.

At the same time, you'd figure he wouldn't want to do TUF. As stated previously in this thread, how is this going to work out for Rampage's training? Show's in Vegas, He trains overseas at the Wolfslair. Not to mention, after he lost to Forrest, he pretty much placed part of the blame on the show saying that he was out of shape. The impression I got, was that he didn't like doing the show too much.

I think Zuffa or Spike or whoever signs the paychecks, must have threw him an extra large chunk of cash to take this.

Im pretty sure it says in the article that rampage and machida will fight sometime in September when the TUF season 10 debut on tv so the fight between rampage and evans wouldnt be for at least 2 months after that ?

I don't know how it will all workout for training, but Dana has already said he intends to keep Rampage as busy as possible. Personally, I'm stoked to see Rampage vs. Rashad on TUF, too. Aside from possible training camp issues, I can't see an angle that this doesn't make sense from.

If this is true I have to wonder if Rampage is avoiding Machida. What does he gain by beating a guy who just got beat badly by Machida. What if he losses this fight with Rashad? What is he going to do then. I don't know but sounds like a bad choice to me. Rampage even said after he lost to Forrest it was due to his lack of training because of the show. So why do the show again and give up a title shot. I would think getting your title back would be more important than fighting a guy that just lost. This seams like a very bad idea if you ask me. He has nothing to gain and everything to loss.

Am i the only one that thinks this is very strange move by Rampage. He is basically saying not only does he want to do TUF again but he doesn't want to fight Machida for the title. He would rather fight Rashad and have him as the other coach on the show. I have to wonder if the UFC or Spike is wanting this more than Rampage is.

They should have a different coach come in every week that teach the fighters different disciplines.

Randy vs Machida, are you Kidding me. I love Randy Couture for how he fights and what he has done for the sport but lets not kid ourselves. If that fight happends Machida toys with him and then knocks him out in the 2nd!

If/When Forrest beats Anderson they'll set up that fight for Machida, IMO.

Makes more sense then a Shogun fight when he's only beaten a washed-up Liddell and Mark "The Mummy" Coleman.

How DOES it make any sense? What if Rampage beats Machida? What if? Rashad should no way be the 1st man to the get the next title shot after he just lost. And your just messing with Rampage mentally with this. He's going to be preparing for machida in camp but he'll be focused more on Evans and what their saying about each other in the show. You need ALL your attention on machida if you even want to have a chance.
