It could be the first WHAM-O for WAMMA today. Two of the organization's founding members, Vice President of Fighter Relations & MMA pioneer Pat Miletich and interim COO Sam Caplan have both resigned from WAMMA today, raising questions about the future of MMA's first sanctioning body.

Not too much of a surprise. Good idea, but completely unfeasible without the cooperation of the UFC. It boggles the mind, why they would even attempt to go forward with this idea without the UFC being on board. mIt just seems like they were "winging it"--you know roll the dice and see if the UFC eventually accepts us. Doomed from the get-go, and I'm sure this is just some foreshadowing of WAMMA's imminent demise.

Like mentioned above,doesn't really suprise me.
It seems that the only org that wis really interested is Affliction.
The moral of the story?
If Fedor is your champ you are doomed to go under.
First Pride now Wamma.
Lets pray he never does go to the UFC.

They were completely pointless from start to finish-the only person who would play ball with them was Affliction.K-1 wouldn't even let them in the event to crown Aoki the WAMMA lightweight champ-they wouldn't let them do it in the ring post fight,they did it at the post fight press conference IIRC.
It was doomed from day one,and I'm suprised it lasted this long.What a complete waste of time and money.I'm suprised a guy with as much common sense as Pat Miletich got caught up in all this BS.

who did fedor beat in the "undisputed" WAMMA heavyweight world championship fight? Tim Sylvia(!?) a guy who in his previous fight LOST an interim title fight in the ufc. how could they have expected their belt to be considered the undisputed championship when 1 of the guys competing for it had just lost a title fight in another org? not to take away from fedor but tim sylvia? really?
Fedor really didnt need someone to make up some world organization and give him a belt and make him look like a legit champion. Fedors a great fighter and his record speaks for itself.
WAMMA was a joke.

WAMMA didnt make those fights, affliction did and if what tom attencio says is true thats the fight he wants to headline affliction 3 this summer. i cant seem them having a successful show without that fight.
