I think Rogers had a better chance with Overeem to be honest. Sure everyone can say "Arlovski has a suspect chin", but he did get hit by the best hw in the world and one of the fastest punchers in MMA.
One fight ago Arlovski was the number two HW, and was thought to be the only man who could beat Fedor. Now, since he got caught, everyone thinks that an untested fighter, who hasn't fought near the competition Arlovski has will KO Arlovski??
Arlovski by destruction...
No disrespect to Brett Rogers, I meant no disrespect when i said an untested fighter, he has huge power and this will be his first test. Either way he will learn from it and get better.

It's MMA anything can happen. The safe money is on AA. I don't think he has a "weak" chin since only top top level strikers have dropped him but he HAS been KO'd and that means it could happen again. Superiour boxing skills though may allow him to slip the punches that used to hit him. Honestly it was only the reckless knee that opened him up before that shot. And Brett wasn't exactly hard to find for Obango. Imagine what AA will do.

Overeem and AA are pretty similar, pretty damn decent with somewhat unsexy chins....they both would/will dominate a fighter like Brett Rogers

Rogers key is to keep the fight in the clinch. In his last fight, his striking wasn't very good. Abongo, who is around 30 lbs smaller, won the first round and made rogers look green.
AA is definitely going to control this fight, I wonder how it'll be in the clinch
AA vs Overeem would be an awesome main event though

I think Arlovski is primarily interested in showing off his striking--so I'm anticipating a mostly standup bout. Should be awesome if that's the case.Is Arlovski's chin suspect, or has he just been hit by great shots? Is Brett Rogers the real deal, or is he just a brawler? This is some card Strikeforce has put together. They are showing some remarkable progress, as each card seems to be better than the last. The matchmaking is also dead on, pitting similar styles as oppossed to two guys that just want to negate what the other does best.

Arlovski should win this fight. But it's going to be a war! As for Arlovski's weak chin. Lets have Fedor hit you directly on the button and see if you go to sleep. Rogers 0 is going to go at this event.
Don't know why there pushing Rogers so hard right now. They should build him up. Not throw him to the wolves. He could be a star for there heavyweight division.

I could see AA winning this fight much like he did with "BIG COUNTRY" Roy Nelson,,,keep moving and wear him out.

Good fight imo.
This will be Rogers baptism by fire. Rogers doesn't have to win this fight. He only has to look good in losing. Even if AA takes him, along as Rogers has a good showing it will validate him as a legit contender (ala,Tito VS Forrest)
I'm leaning towards AA,but I think this will be a fight that's more about making a new star while keeping an already established one cemented in the top 10.
i couldn't agree more...I will be a coming out party for Rogers win or lose (unless the fight ends too early by brutal KO) Then put AA up against Overeem with a win...and put Rogers against Werdum with the win...or just put Werdum against Overeem whatever jsut keep em coming...Go Strikeforce
