I have to agree Machida as a coach would really be a snooze fest! **** watching Henderson as a coach right now is boring the **** out of me.
I also wouldn't believe this as of just yet. Because Rampage was just a coach.

I only don't believe it now because of the source and their "history". When a more reliable source confirms it I'll believe it.

Why does the UFC have to depend on belts being tied up for these TUF's to have "good" coaches?
seriously, i'd like some feedback and opinions from the playground.

My guess, based on going back to roughly season 5: It gives them extra time and ways to hype the upcoming title matches or grudge matches. They did it in season 5 for Penn-Pulver, that was the plan for season 6 with Hughes-Serra before Serra's injury, worked well in season 7 with Rampage-Forrest, fairly well lin season 8 with Nogueira-Mir, season 9 with Bisping-Hendo may be a #1 contender's match and it's still a decent US-UK rivalry match. I've been thinking for a while that for season 10 it would be a natural to have Rampage back and either Rashad or Machida to build up their eventual fight...although, after season 8, I'd rather have Machida. I didn't mind the subtitles when it was Nog's turn to talk, and actually I enjoyed listening to his english. And who knows? Maybe Machida will bring Stankie back!

Rampage was a coach on season 7, not 6, like the article said. You would think these media people would do just a 'little' research.

I didnt think rampage liked coaching on the previous season he did?
How about Team Canada vs Team Brazil, GSP vs Anderson Silva, haha just kidding. Would not like to see that hold up two titles.
Lets hope Rampage and Machida/Evans arent coaches because I want to see Rampage get his title shot quick.

if it is evans wins it might happen but honestly seeing rampage fight live 3 times consectively, if he is tuf coach they will fight in dec that would be 4th time live i'll feel like a groupie or something

If Rashad defends the title successfully then I think this is a good move. The hype and build up would lead to an amazing fight. If Macheda takes the title I would not really be that excited to have to wait for their match. Lyoto does not strike me as a TV personality, although it would be funny to see who wants to be on Rampage's team and who wants to be made to drink their own piss after training.

Rampage and Rashad would be an entertaining season...that's for sure...But I doubt Rampage would do it again. He got all fat last time he did it.
Plus, I am skeptical about mmabay as a source.

Everytime Machida does an interview it seems to be one of the most interesting pieces ive read having to do with mma.
I dont see why people would think hes going to be a boring coach.

they need to have people with Carisma and a bit of hate on for each other
Diego and Kos (if Diego wanted to go up a class would be good)
K-Flo and BJ would be entertaining
