Should be a fun fight, and a good test for Anderson at LHW.. I think the likely scenario is Anderson by KO late second or early third though, but Forrest is tough and has good wrestling, wouldn't be too shocked if was to grind out a decision.

I'll take Forrest by UD. Silva has looked terrible against smaller guys, and Forrest is a huge 205, he will win this one for sure IMO.

The level of competition in LHW compared to Middle weight is way too much for Silva. He is used to fighting people who can not even contend with him. The top 10 Light heavies will push each other to the limit in all their fights. Thus I see Griffin wearing Silva out and winning a split decision. Silva will obviously out strike him and win the first round but sometime in the 2nd Forrest will tie him up and the test of strength will be more then Anderson can handle. Forrest needs to grind him out and use his power to take it.

I<3 this match up
I will drive 3 hours to philly to see it
Rooting for Forrest but Silva's quickness and tequnique will probaly be too much.

Great matchup, Griffin is a great deal more talented than Silva's recent opponents, and will have a size and strength advantage. I think it's pretty even, I am not too sure yet who I think will win, but I agree with most that it will either be Griffin by UD or Silva by 2r KO

Griffin wins his fights usually by outworking his opponent each round and coming away with a decision. However he leaves openings defensively when he strikes.

Silva is a patient counter puncher that looks for openings before striking and only looks bad when fighters dont engage him.

Forrest is going to pressure, and hes going to get dropped by a straight right hand similar to the Irvin v. Silva & Evans v. Griffin fights. Anderson Silva looks his best when fighters come at him, and that is exactly what Griffin is going to do. Easy pick.

Anderson's last two fights were reportedly snore-fests (for MMA), and I don't think any of Forrest's fights could be considered boring. Interesting decision, looking forward to Forrest beating the crap out of The Spider.

I'm looking forward to this fight. I think anderson is bored at 185 and needs a challenge. Win or lose Forrest will come to fight for sure.

Two great kickboxers, two decent ground-fighters. Seems like a recipe for a good night. Silva is an ultra-talented stand-up specialist with technicality and power in all eight facits of his delivery. Although very impressive, I can't say that I've been too excited to see a Silva fight recently. His lackluster performances in his last two fights have really turned me off. He came into the UFC hungry, knocking everybody the f@#k out, and now it almost seems like its turned into boredom(even at the post-fight press conference). He doesn't seem too interested in doing anything at all besides show-boating anymore.
On the other hand, Griffin has always been an intense fighter who pushes the pace and always comes foward, even when getting his head punched in. We have seen him in grueling, drag out battles with the best in the business. Some were lost, some were won, but always intriguing.
Based on all the facts, Griffin will be the favorite in this beat-down. With his size and heart, Griffin will be Silva's toughest test yet in the octagon, due to Griffin's durability and determination. I think Forrest will take this fight via UD, almost the same way he beat Rampage.

I see this fight being below average, specially with the recent Anderson fighting style. If Anderson would comeback to his old way of fighting, I feel sorry for Forrest. Nevertheless, I think they could have brought Anderson a better challenge, Rampage would have been more exciting. I also think Anderson will get a title shot if Machida loses against Rashaad.

I think this fight is happening because its a gauranteed exciting performance from Silva since he will be pushed and its a definite step up from his last 205 opponent Irving.

I like this fight, it's not a make-or-break for either fighter's career but the victor will have a nice feather in their hat. I'm going to take Forrest if it goes to a decision but he's not knocking Silva out. The leg kicks will be a bad idea but hopefully he can dictate the pace of the fight and pull this one out.

If Forrest wins decisively I think it will solidified his spot as a legend of the sport. 4 Years ago if anyone had said that Forrest Griffin would beat the #1 lhw, Shogun Rua, then go on to defeat the next #1 lhw, Quinton Jackson, and become the LHW champion and THEN go on to defeat the #2 P4P fighter in the world, Anderson Silva, I'm sure everyone would have laughed. If Forrest can beat Silva then regain the lhw title, which he will, he will be one of the greatest fighters of this era of the sport.

Ps... to the TS..... how do you not know how to spell Forrest GRIFFIN when his name is posted everywhere?!
