The Strikeforce June 6th card featuring Robbie Lawler vs Jake Shields just got a major dose of Northern California flair.
Scott Smith of Elk Grove, CA is set to fight Stockton’s Nick Diaz, at a catch-weight of 180 pounds

Holy s**t...Smith-Diaz will be a war. Memo to Smith: Be prepared for verbal war first.
As for Rogers, excellent choice. He's ready for a title shot and this will be a good fight for him win or lose.

agree with the fact that a verbal war is coming...haha fucin nick diaz sure know how to sell his fights! but nick diaz should have this fight in the bagg. not saying scott smith is horrible, i just cant picture a scenario where diaz will lose (with the exception, of course, of the one lucky hit).
as for brett rogers ready for a title shot...i dunno if i agree with that. and especially against overeem...c'mon now. maybe a fight against sumone like paul buentello first, just to see at what level he is at. and even then, i think buentello would take rogers. he hasent really fought anybody too great...
diaz to win and overeem to kill ...lol

SF hits another card out of the ball park.
Diaz/Smith, Rogers/Overeem and Smokin' Joe V is suppose to be on the card.
So glad I have showtime.

Holy crap Rogers is in for a rude awakening. I have a feeling he's going to be exposed big time.

Bret Rogers is going to die.
Can't wait to see Smith/Diaz. That fight is going to be fun to watch, because Scott Smith has some hard power in his hands and doesn't need to outpunch Diaz to knock him out. Wouldn't be surprised to see another come from behind victory for Smith, but I'd bet on Nick Diaz to finish it before then.

Diaz will out point Smith on the feet landing more shots and maybe even dropping him with a shot to the body like he did with Shamrock...Smith will land a few good power shots..but won't win the fight, he will be picked apart to an exciting decision or late tko loss.
Overeem will Overpower and Overwhelm an outclassed Rogers and even get Rogers to turn his back standing and try to get away (kind of like Leben vs Silva) and will get dropped by a hard right...in under 60 sec.

Jared Hamman. 99% certain winner's next fight is Sobral in August for the title.

Diaz vs Smith will be a great fight, Diaz could when it real quick if he takes it down, however I believe he is going to want to show Smith up on the feet and I think he will and be winning on the cards until he gets put sleep. I like watching Rogers fight and feel he is about a year cming into his own, he started adding knees in his last fight if he leans ut a little to get a bit of quickness in 12-18 months he will be real hard to beat. Right now Overeem will put it on him, but with the big boys and as hard as Rogers can hit, you can't automatically count him out. Strike Force is going to put on another good show in June
