I am a fan of liddell but he goes into every fight saying he is going to knockout every person he fights he does'nt change up his game and alot of fighters are catching on but i think liddell will knockout Shogun first or second round but can't see liddell with the title any time soon.

To be fair to Chuck, even if he did change up his style a little, his big weapon would still be his power and he'd still be saying hes going into fights looking for the k.o. Itll be interesting to see how his work with his new boxing coach works its way into his game, since it seems theyve been concentrating alot on defence.

K.O. is all he has, if he can't K.O someone, he will lose. IMO if he doesn't make a big splash this time around, he needs to retire. But then again if I was making 1/2 mill. per fight win or lose, I would still keep fighting also.

I used to be a Liddell fan, but I'm personally sick of hearing im say he plans on KOing someone. I fnd him repetitive, anyway I think Shogun should be able to win this fight, because I feel he's the better striker and that Chuck is past the twighlight of his career.

Whats with everyone saying Chuck needs to retire?! He's still no slouch and theirs still some top 10 guys I'd haply pick Chuck over! Yeah he isn't going to dragging his opponents to the mat and trying crazy subs anytime soon but he can still bang with the best of them and he's a exciting mother ******! Other than the Jardine fight I'd have trouble remembering a boring fight he's had! He's still trying to improve and still has some of the heaviest hands in the LHW devision so why not say he's looking for the KO!?
I hope everyone realizes they are moaning because a fighter is trying to be exciting! Chuck is a legend in the sport and if he wants to still go looking for the big finish why not let him!

Wow the chuck hate is rediculous. Its the same as Maia going out and saying he is planning on subbing his opponent, or Tito trying to "punish" his opponent for three rounds.
What does everyone expect? Wanderlei Silva, Quinton Jackson, CroCop, etc are all guys who ALWAYS vocalize how they are going to try for the KO when they are interview. There is nothing different here other than the fact that people just simply dont like Liddell and want to hate.

Liddell is going to punish Shogun standing, I really don't know if he'll be able to put him out though.. Mauricio has a fantastic chin and fighting spirit.

Chuck hasnt followed through on his "plan of knocking him out" since 2006 against Tito and Tito gave Chuck fits standing in that fight, just something to think about.

Chuck hasn't fared to well against good strikers in the past, i'm interested to see how he does in this one. I've learnt that in the past the man with more ways to win ussually does, and I think thats how I'm going to pick this one.
