Can't pull up the damn site at work...
Is it a long interview?
Can anyone cut and paste or let me know some details (if there are any)?
Thanks in advance.

Heavyweight contender Brandon Vera has signed an extension with the Ultimate Fighting Championship with plans to complete the remaining fight on his existing contract with the Las Vegas-based organization as soon as he is able to.
Vera’s existing contract slated his last fight take place in May, but the fighter was granted the extension by Zuffa LLC., owners of the UFC, to work out legal issues with his current management. Vera, 29, plans to renew his contract with the UFC afterwards.
“I want to stay with the UFC,” the Virginia native said today. “They have some of the best fighters in the world. It’s an amazing stable of fighters and the who’s who of the MMA world. ‘Cro Cop’ [Mirko Filipovic] is a big factor for me wanting to stay. He’s the number-two guy in the world.”
Vera (6-0) knocked out former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir (9-3) at Nov. 18’s UFC 65 in Sacramento, but has not competed since. Rumored as the next challenger to then heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia’s crown, Vera began renegotiations with the organization but a new contract agreement was not reached at the time.
On Tuesday, Zuffa LLC. publicly announced the purchase of their leading rival in PRIDE Fighting Championships, a move that could inadvertently bolster the UFC’s heavyweight ranks substantially in the near future.

I would love to see Vera fight Cro-Cop after Mirko destroys Gonzaga. It would be an entertaining fight. It would also help establish Cro-Cop to MMA fans who don't know how much of a beast he is.

Heh, it could also establish Vera as an elite heavyweight if he has a good showing.

ithink it kind of goes without saying that CC is getting randy next if/when he beats gonzaga, but a match down the road with vera would be fun to watch. the guy has talent, theres no getting around it, hopefully this contract mess gets put behind him and he lives up to his potential, i could see him as a future champ at HW or LHW

Heh, it could also establish Vera as an elite heavyweight if he has a good showing.
Or show him as overpaid if he gets 200k a fight and loses to Tim.

I can't wait to see Vera fight again. He has the ability to make any fight exciting and can finish from anywhere. Definately a good move by the UFC

Vera is defiantely an exciting fighter but I am still undecided about him being an upper echelon guy. I look forward to him getting the chance to destroy any doubts I have tho!

More like Vera had no option, he was probably considering Pride but then after the events this week he decided that he had no choice. Good for UFC though Vera's a great prospect.
Put him in against Big Tim and see if he's ready to challenge...

Vera needs to work his way up now. He needs to prove he is worthy of a title shot, and so far, (imo) he isnt.
