I still like Griffin vs. Dos Anjos for my FOTY. Simply because there were almost submissions, too
Smith vs. Radach was great, though!

I definately enjoyed it. Felt bad for Radach, poor guy just got caught but thats what happens when you face a guy like Smith.

I'd say FOTY so far is between this, Torres-Mizugaki, and Kampmann-Condit. It was a great fight. Glad to see that "Hands of Steel" won it.

Fight of the year without question. Awesome back and forth action, and both guys were on the brink of being knocked out on more than one occasion, until the final dramatic blow. Best fight I've seen in a long time.

You guys have listed some other great fights.... the only reason I put this above them was because both were completely rocked at points... out on their feet... and it didnt go to a decision... it was finished at the very end, which adds a lot of cred to the fight in my book.

I cant believe the fight made it to the 3rd round when both guys almost getting finished and then smith to make another come back and get the KO, simply amazing.

I have to disagree based on the fact that the Griffin fight went to decision. It was a great fight but to be honest I didn't feel it was close to being over at any point other than that nasty leg submission by Dos Anjos. Even then it was only for a second and then I saw Griffins face and realized, "This guy's not going to tap". A great fight no question but I have to give the nod to Smith vs. Radach.

Fair enough, but IMO there were several points at which I thought Tyson Griffin was going to KO Dos Anjos. Plus, it was just amazing to me to see Griffin fight through that kind of pain. Anyone who has ever been put in a calf slicer or any similar type painful submission knows what I'm talking about.

So impressed with Scott Smith. The guy has a chin to match his incredible punching power. Would really like to see Smith back in the UFC.

Torres/Mizugaki and Kampmann/Condit were way better fights.
Smith/Radach was the "most dramatic" fight of the year thus far though, for sure.

i think this fight is way better then the torres fight considering that radach shattered his hand in the first round.

I wouldn't say it was an amazing fight but it was definitely probably the best back and forth fight so far this year even though I didn't think it was all that. It had it's moments, it's aw's every now and then but it didn't blow me out of my seat like most fight of the year candidates usually do like Alvarez-Tajazeri(defintely messed that one up), Alvarez/Hanson, and Lawler-Smith 1.
I actually think Hendo/Franklin was the best fight of the year in all MMA, it was pretty close with each other staying in each others face the whole time. But if were sticking to out of the UFC I'll stay with this one. Very good comeback by Smith!
