Chuck Liddell vs. Mauricio "Shogun"Rua - Time for War! Video

A relatively short, albeit awesome highlight video setting up Chuck vs. Shogun next weekend at UFC 97. The UFC really seems to have stepped up their production value for this video, and we can only hope it's a sign of things to come.

Check it out.

Wow, I hate to sound like a downer here, but that video didn't do anything for me.

Was that MC Hammer singing? I was trying to place the voice. It sounded like either MC Hammer or Coolio haha

Really? Everyone I've talked to that's seen it has nothing but good things to say.

And no, it wasn't MC Hammer, it was LL Cool J.

Ahh, never listened to him back in the day. The thing that made me think hammer was all the God references and of course the sound of the voice, but now that you say LL Cool J it makes perfect sense.

I dunno, maybe I'm not in the right mood but that video just didn't snag me. Or maybe it just has to deal with how big of a let down Shogun has been so far and how much of a downslide Chuck has been on lately. I'm not excited about the fight at all. Hopefully they will make me get excited once they touch gloves.

It could have been pretty awesome if the music didn't suck so bad. I don't know--just didn't do much for me either.

From the gee up
I expected it to be rip my balls off awesome
It was pretty good.
But it didn’t rip my balls off .They’re still there.

I find it funny in that ironic way
That the UFC uses highlights of Shogun wasting dudes with stomps in Pride
Yet they are illegal in the US
I can just imagine the conversation now

Random Guy 1
Oh my god that guy just stomped the other guy in the head

UFC fan
Yeah

Random Guy 1
Are ya allowed to do that in the ufc?

UFC fan
Nope

Random Guy 1
But it just showed it

UFC fan
That’s Japan. It’s a silly rule. Too dangerous.

Random Guy 1
Oh that’s ok then.

If it’s worth promoting
It’s worthy to see in the octagon

It kind of bummed me out to remember how good Shogun was in Pride and how un-Shogun like he has been since coming over

Ya, that didn't do anything for me either. That actually reminded me of something a random fan would make, with the music choice and all.
