Former number one welterweight contender Jon Fitch is in talks to possibly return to the Octagon against undefeated submission specialist Paulo Thiago at UFC 100 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11.

Bout agreements have not been signed at this time; however, both sides appear to be open to the 170-pound contest.

I guess we'll be able to see Paulo Thiago's jiu-jitsu this time as Fitch pounds away to a TKO victory.

(Or maybe he beats him up standing and knocks him out. Fitch by whatever he wants.)

good fight...and it looks like everyone has learned to not say "signed, sealed, and delievered" over a fight that yet has to have bout agreements signed....

Fitch gets to prove this guy's a fluke and might actually be on the main card. Sounds good to me.

Fitch will avenge his teammates loss and prove that Thiago's KO was nothing more than a fluke.

I wish the AKA boys would just fight each other so we wouldnt constantly see them fight people way below them in the rankings. Its almost like the UFC is punishing them for it by making them fight lesser opponets. I am sure Fitch wants to avenge Koschecks loss but I mean cmon isn't fitch at a point in his career where he shouldnt have to fight guys like Thiago, and Gohno. Swick vs Saunders? Koscheck vs Yoshida, Thiago, and now Wilson? I wish that there was a way to get them to fight
