He's a dumbass that would get owned. He's only throwing that out there BECAUSE he knows they won't co promote. He thinks now that will make him look better because the UFC is "scared" to let their champ fight him.

Let me just put this out there. I am willing to fight Anderson Silva if and only if the UFC is willing to co-promote with my sponser, Playstation3.

If that game ever comes out I would totally kick Anderson's ass only I wouldn't pick a 6-0 no name fighter to do it.

No disrespect but Cung Le isn't worthy of shot at Anderson Silva.

???????

I really like Cung Le and he seems smarter than this??

My gues is Strikeforce gave him 5 grand and said "Please go call out Anderson"

Then wrote the 5 grand off as advertising money with their accountant

My guess is this is one of the only ways for some ORGS not to be forgotten

Why is it a bad thing for him to want this for strikeforce? I think it shows loyalty. Back when UFC was still growing, it co promoted with other organizaitons that were already established. It took their fighters over to Pride to help gain more of an audience and win more fans.

If Cung Le has loyalty to Strikeforce then he would try to elevate their status by setting up a "superfight" with cross promotion. this isn't unheard of--it happens in boxing all the time. All UFC is, is a promotional company. Tha'ts it. They don't 'develop' fighters--they sign them, set up fights they think will make money, and they promote those fights. It's as if Don King has most of the best fighters and ONLY lets his fighters fight each other. Then along comes Bob Arum and says let's cross promote a fight between my good fighter and your good fighter. If King says no, you can understand but that doesn't make Cung Le wrong for attempting to set up a fight without signing an exclusive fight deal with the UFC which would force him to leave an organization he has loyatly to.

Cung Le an unproven MW I think, is willing to take on one of the best p4p MW's.

I dont think Cung Le could beat any of the contenders in the UFC's MW division.

That would be an awesome fight of two superior strikers, but it won't happen. At least not under a co-promotion. Never ever.

Good call.

Now that you mention it, I think there are a few orgs that maybe use this same tactic.

I hadn't thought of it like that. Thats a pretty good description. Too bad UFC always says no.

This is the fight i`ve always wanted to see, but sadly it`ll never take place unless cung le goes over to the UFC.

Dana "Adolf" White will never co-promote with anyone.

The UFC is worth too much $ now, so it`ll never ever happen.

But if it did somehow happen, i would have to give it to Anderson just because he`s the #1 fighter on the planet today.

The UFC is more than Just Dana. I cant knock the guys for not wanting to co promote. Why build up the competitions name. They are still trying to get their own name into the mainstream. As for Le, he would get pnwd IMO
