Marcus Davis is not backing down from a challenge that Dan Hardy issued following a knockout win over Rory Markham at UFC 95: “Sanchez vs. Stevenson” this past weekend. “The Outlaw” mentioned wanting to fight “The Irish Hand Grenade” numerous times in his post-fight interviews. It seems as though his rhetoric may have worked-Davis told UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to set it up for UFC 99 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany, on June 13.

There's an upside to this fight for me.

Somebody I dislike is going to lose, probably pretty devastatingly.

Now this is a fight i would like to see.....I dont think Davis would have the stones to trade with Hardy though......I think Davis would try and take the fight to the ground and work some ground and pound...

i would have to disagree there....davis has gone toe to toe with alot more dangerous strikers than hardy and survived, not to mention his previous boxing credentials.....hardy one punched markham who definitly isnt known for having a sturdy chin, also that was the first time hardy has one punched somebody, so we all cant go off thinking he's super dangerous just cuz of that...hardy does have good technical standup, but davis has some of the best standup in the ww division....i see them bangin it out in an exciting fight with davis pulling off a decision win

Davis by brutal KO in the first round. He probably won't even break a sweat. I'll AV bet with anyone on this. Hardy is a solid young prospect with a lot of room to grow, but Davis is legit and has already proven himself to be an absolute warrior.

This one has slugfest written all over it, much like Hardy-Markham was. I don't expect a decision if this happens, let alone the fight going past the first round.

davis is a step or two above hardy. if lytle can't put him away there's no way hardy will.
