David Loiseau 'The Crow Returns to the UFC'

PunchDrunkGamer's Justin Bolduc sat down with David “The Crow” Loiseau to talk about his UFC return against Ed Herman at UFC 97 in April.

PDG: First, it is great to have you back in the UFC. How do you feel about your upcoming return?

David: I feel great, man. It feels good to be back home. [The UFC] is my home. It was a long time since I've been back – since 2006, and I'm just very happy to be back, man.

I'm excited to have the crow back, he is a dangerous guy and has some crazy strikes. We will see how he does against the upper level this time around though.

Not to hate or anything, because Loiseau is one of the most exciting out there, at least from UFC fights, but he was never impressive in the UFC. He would get beaten by just about any mid level wrestler in the MW division. I grant you that 185 is pretty much a division of strikers, but any top guy would probably beat him.

I remember watching one of the events he was in from 06. Tanner was whooping him until Loiseao gave one of his famous elbows. With Loiseau, I would flip a coin because of the elbow factor. But he isn't at their ground level at all, even a half ass sprawl.

I'm hoping he becomes a great force and tears the division up, but some of his notable wins were by elbow cuts when he was losing.

The Crow has always been physically there and I have always been a fan of his. After his first loss in the UFC to Rich and during his subsequent departure I felt as though he broke mentally. The Crow says he has both in line now and I hope he is correct in that statement. Wish him all the luck in the world.
