Gegard Mousasi strolls into the Artemis Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands, sporting a simple blue zip-up jacket, a matching baseball cap and two black eyes.

You would think that the Dream middleweight champion would have an entourage surrounding him like most champions do these days, but the lanky 6-foot-1 fighter is alone.

Wow. He always looked like such a skinny MW. Did he say he's 260 now!? Serious threat to anyone in the UFC.

“I can use steroids or stuff like it, [but] I want to fight in America, and the only way is to do it naturally because you will get caught in America,”

this statement right here is the reason people get suspicious of fighters who go through insane spurts of growth (like Overeem) over seas because it is legal to do that. i'm glad to hear he wants to fight in the US and that he wants to bulk up the natural way. personally, i would have liked to see him stay at 185 so Jacare could rematch him and show him that save a well placed up kick Jacare wins that 9 out of 10 times.

I agree that Mousasi would probably be best off letting his body grow since 21-25 is where your body starts to naturally bulk up, but I think he's a little overtly optimistic about a move to HW.

He has the perfect build for a MW right now, tall andlanky just like Anderson Silva, but he could definetely bulk up and still be a good sized LHW and avoid the tortures of trying to keep a very strict diet to stay at MW. As far as moving to HW--he's just not tall enough. Anything over 235lb's and he would lose that lean physique and probably a lot of speed to. I understand the desire to be the HW champ, because everyone growing up wants to be the HW champ of the world, but not everyone is going to be able to do what Fedor does.

Meh it's a myth that the guys in NA can't use roids, cycles are your friends. It is easier to juice up in Japan though.
