Karo Parisyan was recently on Armenian television saying that he will be fighting Josh Koscheck at UFC 98 on May 23. This is strictly a rumor at this point since Koscheck still has to get by Paulo Thiago at UFC 95, but would be a great fight to determine the next challenger to the Welterweight title. If this fight does happen, I think it is going to be a huge statement for Kos. Karo has not looked the same since losing to Alves, and Kos has evolved into a much more dominant fighter than Parisyan ever has and it will show in this fight. I think Kos will beat him up on the feet, and then eventually take him down and TKO him. It should be exciting either way

Kos will dominate Karo no matter where the fight goes. He is by far the better fighter.

Karo is at least a few fights away from being considered a challenger to the Welterweight title. I'll be surprised if he's getting Kos after a lackluster performance last fight. If he does he's in big trouble.

if Karo is really going up to Tristar to train he could make this a fight, but no matter what i still see him losing. Kos is just the far superior fighter at this point.

Sucks for Karo

Kos has improved a ton lately and has actually started to impress me a lot lately. His awesome fight with Alves and huge KO over Yoshida really got me pumped. It feels weird to say it but

I may be turning into a Kos fan

something is wrong with me

When was he knocked out? He got TKO'd against Thiago Alves...never knocked out.

Koscheck should win this fight, assuming he wins his fight against Paulo Thiago.

Is this a contender's fight? It makes me realize how thoroughly St. Pierre has cleaned up the welterweight division

If Karo somehow wins and they give him a shot GSP(or even Alves for that matter) would give him an epic beating.

Karo even in his prime wouldn't be able to handle the 2009 koscheck. Between his workethic, camp, mentality, skillset and potential... kos keeps improving and looks to improve significantly in every fight. Karo on the other hand has been a mess... the guy is having panic attacks, has never looked to be in great shape, and looked very lack luster against in last fight. Next, lets consider that karo has no wins against a current top 10 fighter. Kos's record in that respect isnt much better, but his decision loss to alves on short notice, his decision loss to gsp, his destruction of yoshida, and battles with hazelett and lytle speak volumes about his progression

Kos, 2nd rd tko

You give Kos credit for his wins against Lytle and Hazelett but where is the recognition of Karo's domination of Lytle and Serra?

Karo is still only 26 years old, and he's now starting to get into training camps and is taking it seriously. I'm not saying he's going to win this fight, but the guy is still improving, just like Koscheck is, and I would say has a higher ceiling because he is 5 years younger than Josh.

agree with everything except for his higher ceiling, i just think kos is and always will be a superior athlete to karo, you can't teach what koscheck has.
