I just don't care for the cross boxing/MMA events. IMO its just a way to help out boxing and for most every boxer who said "that the guys in MMA are the ones who couldn't make it in boxing".

Some boxers can't make it in MMA and Some Mixed Martial Artist can't make it in boxing.

No I agree about some can't make it in MMA and Boxing its two different sports I just didn't like that boxers said that about MMA guys. IMO to say that one can't hack it in the others sport is just silly. If any thing I think boxers would have a harder time coming to MMA .

Sounds like an OK time, guess we'll see. I guess the fights are in a ring not a cage.?

I'm of the opposite opinion. I'm tired of older sports journalists fabricating some sort of rivalry between the two sports as if the endgame of MMA is to make boxing irrelevant when they are obviously two different sports. Exposure to boxing fans who have misconceived notions about MMA as stuck in 1993 as a "bloodsport" and "human cockfighting" can only be good to MMA, and with Roy Jones Jr. headlining this particular event maybe boxing fans, who will definitely tune in, can finally see how versatile MMA actually is and how different from boxing it is.

Stuff like this, where the question posed is total and complete nonsense, needs to disappear.
