Cage fighter Ian "The Machine" Freeman faced jail last night after failing to pay tax for nearly 12 years.

The 41-year-old won the Cage Rage British Light-Heavyweight Championship last year, has a website where fans can buy his merchandise and has written a book.

Freeman also ran a company promoting cage fights, where rivals are allowed to punch, kick, elbow and wrestle.

But he told the taxman he and his wife lived off her £11,000-a-year wage as a pharmacy assistant.

Wow that is a long time. I don't think that would have been the case in the U.S. one year alone the IRS would have been all over it.

Tim Geithner and Tom Daschle would be proud of him.

Nice! Be careful this is supposed to be a political free zone.
