Matt Lindland says the only injury he suffered was hurt pride after being stopped in 37 seconds by Vitor Belfort at Affliction 2.

Lindland was caught with an overhand left that dropped him unconscious immediately, yet Belfort was still able to land three or four punches to his prone opponent before the referee stepped in.

The result was a frighteningly drawn-out period of unconsciousness on Lindland’s part, but he says subsequent tests have revealed no lasting damage.

I'm pretty certain that it was one of the punches on the ground that put him out.

you can even see the exact punch because his leg goes limp as soon as Vitor's shot connects on the ground.

That's cool, good for Vitor. After the fight when he said Lindland was predictable, he was right. I wonder who's next for that guy, is there another credible middleweight signed to Affliction? Whomever it is, I hope it happens soon.

Linland definately went out on the ground. Also I'm surprised that Affliction screened so much of the long drawn recovery! it became very uncomfortable viewing IMO.
As for Vitor I don' think the Affliction roster is deep enough in any division. Vitor should be given one more crack at UFC. Wanderlei is dropping to MW

Poor Lindland dude was rocked so bad. Im glad to hear he is doing ok because that was a nasty knockout. I knew Vitor was going to be a just a little to much on the feet for Lindland to handle.
