Former IFL welterweight Jay Hieron had to wait nearly six months to make his debut for Affliction, so what was a few more hours? However, Hieron had to battle and keep his focus after getting warmed up to fight in a televised bout during HDNet’s undercard at this past Saturday’s “Day of Reckoning” event against Jason High only to be told he would have to wait until after the show to fight.

I think the switch had the most effect on Jason High. I know that he had a great training camp coming into the fight and had to start and stop his warm-up multiple times. Hieron is the better fighter but Affliction really screwed up that fight.

if a fighter gets screwed around like that then they should pay him a little extra. you cant screw around with a fighters warm up process. they really bombed on this one. that and it was my understanding that ozzy was sposed to be playing that night. atleast back in october. i guess they opted to say F*** that because it wasnt worth the money he was asking for. take a page out of ufc book. if you have a ppv event try and push out as many fights as possible. have the entire undercard before hand and then if there is time after the main events. show the best fights you had on the undercard to the at home viewers. lot of people dont have hdnet and imo the people who forked out the cash to watch the ppv are more deserving than people who are gonna watch it for free.

Yeah, there probably won't be anything up until HDNET airs the fight, unless someone in the audience had a nice camera. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
