New Karo Parisyan interview:

"It’s very important. It’s important to beat him in a very violent way. Everything he does, I do better than him. I have better standup, better takedowns and better submissions. I’m not saying it’s going to be an easy fight, but I think I have all of the tools to put him in some uncomfortable situations, to pose my will on top of him and get the victory. I don’t want the fight to go to a decision, but if for some reason it does, I want to dominate every single round of the fight."

"I’m going to come out from bell to bell and just try to crush him. I want to run through him like a tractor bro; like a tank. I have every intention to hurt him with everything I do until the fights over and then I could give him a hug, buy him a drink or hang out with him. But in the cage, it’s like this motor starts going with me. I have to bring the old Karo back. I have to bring that aggressive style back to be a contender and become a champion."

More in the full interview...

Well I am sure his attention is to try and win "in a very violent way". However...Karo has been less then top tier as of late. not to mention the fact that when he was at his best he was winning by decision most of the time. I predict a Karo win....but in typical Karo fashion....grind it out decision.

The last (and only) time I can remember Karo "crushing" someone was a VERY overmatched Nick "The Goat" Thompson. I hope stun gun embarrasses Karo in the worst way.

stylistically i think this fight goes to the cards. and i agree with Karo, he is better in all aspects of the game...except cardio and maybe even some intangibles. however, if Karo keeps this state of mind and doesn't relapse into another mental breakdown he should have this locked up. i see Karo winning a UD here, possibly even a SD if he falls back into the mental weakness he has suffered from in his past few fights.

I envision this being a pretty boring fight, with Karo using more wrestling rather than Juo to get it to the ground and control position. It's pretty frustrating to watch Karo fight, because he has an awesome arsenal of submissions, but he never uses them. I doubt he'll use them here either.

It's definetely Karo's fight to lose. If he's mentally prepared this should be a breeze. All signs point to this one going toa decision, but I just have a feeling that Kim is a bleeder and Karo is going to cut him up from side control enroute to a bloody stoppage.

IMO, Karo has been the most overrated fight in the UFC the past two years. He has done nothing impressive and now people are finally noticing with all his loses that he isnt a great fighter.

I'm sure he thought he beats Alves in every aspect of the sport but we know how that ended.

Karo is not an exciting fighter to watch IMO. His throws are pretty impressive but it will take more than judo to take out an undefeated Kim. A decision win is most likely

I'm not so sure that he can beat Kim at all.

Wow the guy loses one fight to Thiago Alves, after dominating the first round, and getting caught. And all of the sudden he's overrated. How many people have taken GSP to a decision?(He got laid on the whole fight by GSP btw) The guy is 8-3 in the UFC with a win over a lot of people's golden boy Nick Diaz, and a very close loss to Diego.

I personally love watching the guy fight, and as most of you know he's my favorite fighter. He pushes the pace and keeps coming, and that's all I can ask.

As far as his submissions, I actually see him tossing Kim to the ground into side control, and working and getting an armbar in the second round.

Who has Don Hyun Kim fought? I was there when he fought Matt Brown, he looked very sloppy, had Brown's back multiple times and couldn't finish him...I think a lot of people are doubting Karo because he doesn't necessarily finish people.

War KARO

That's pretty good company I'd say, out of 16 different opponents, to only be taken to decision 5 times.
