New Alistair Overeem interview:

"I want to fight several people from different organizations. My goal for this year is to fight Fedor and at K1, I would like to fight Remy Bonjasky and of course, in the UFC, Brock"

"He is big, he is strong, but he is human and every human has a weakness. Once the time is there, I’ll start to study him more closely."

"I’ve beaten several tough opponents. Vitor Belfort was tough and so was Igor Vovchanchyn, although that fight didn’t last that long. Kharitonov is also a tough guy. Shogun I think is also a super talent and my last fight against Badr Hari has also been a good win."

Pretty lofty goals for someone who hasn't even proven he's ready to take a belt at LHW, much less HW.

Pretty big goals, I see the Fedor fight might happening, but I dont see him pulling out the win over him.

always been a hugh fan of Overeem..had him winnin against Hari..and he won..the match again Remy Bonjasky..i also think Overeem would take him..i think Overeem is an under-rated HW..the match-up with Brock would be interestin..since Overeem comes in at 255lbs..and Brock weighs 265lbs..and Dana has hinted somethin bout Overeem comin into the UFC..so there's is a chance..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUxAzbtxB2I&eurl=http://www.mmascraps.com/ ..it comes at the 6:11 and 8:47 mark of the clip..i do hope that Overeem does hold the HW belt once in his life..he's too good of a fighter not to hold a belt once in his career...

Strikeforce HW belt doesn't count?

How does one effect the other? It's not like one weight makes you better. He's always been too big for LHW and a lot of ppl questioned whether the cut was hurting him. He seems to do better so far since he's been HW so maybe that was it. Too make it sound like HW is a step up in anything except weight is an absurdity. Skill not only doesn't go up because of weight but LHW is usually the better more skilled div and HW is seen as the easier route often times.

Um, why does he mention Shogun in the list of tough guys he beat? As I remember, Shoguns knocked him out in the first round. Twice.

When he woke up they told him he won lol. I still think Overeem is using, he looks so unnatural, not to mention the huge cheeks.

I have to say that I'd rather see him fight Bonjasky than any other matchup I see in K-1, I'd rather see him fight Lesnar than any other matchup I see in the UFC and I'd rather see him fight Fedor than any other matchup I see in Affliction.

Realistically, I'll settle for any one of those three. I hope he signs somewhere else, too.

Overeem/Fedor is very realistic. And what a fight it would be.

I think Affliction would have to get Overeem some exposure in the US fighting a guy like AA or Tim before they should put him in with Fedor, to casuals it's just Fedor vs someone they have never heard of.
