UFC lightweights Tyson Griffin (12-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Rafael dos Anjos (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) have verbally agreed to meet at the as-yet-unannounced UFC Fight Night 18, tentatively scheduled for April 1 in Nashvile, Tenn.

While the event has not yet been officially announced by the UFC, sources close to the bout today alerted MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) of the pending matchup.

I'll probably go with Griffin via UD like usual, but I think this is a good match up for Tyson and he could actually get the tko.

Kind of an odd pairing, almost seems like a step down for Griffin.

I think Tyson may actually get the finish here.

Although Dos Santos didn't look too bad against Stephens, I still think he will be overwhelmed by Tysons power and wrestling. And get GnP'd until the ref jumps in to save him.

+1

I think it will be an entertaing fight, but it's a big step down for Tyson.

There's been a lot of solid fights announced for this card-don't be suprised if this ends up being a dark bout.

WB.

I actually think this is a pretty good match up for Griffin coming off a loss. If he was coming off a win, I might not think so.

It should be a pretty good fight. I don't see it being a stand up fight, but sometimes those Jits vs. Wrestling fights turn into kickboxing matches. If it goes to the ground, which I think it will, I see a ground and pound win for Tyson Griffin in Round 3. If they have a kick boxing match I think Tyson gets a unanimous decision. I don't see dos Anjos tapping Griffin, knocking him out or out working him.
Griffin wins.

Dos Anjos gets KOed by Jeremy Stephens... there by earning him a fight with Tyson Griffin?

^^^^^^ I agree completely, COMPLETELY. So let me get this straight Stephans knocks out Dos Anjos and gets Efrain Escudero and the guy who got knocked out gets a top 5 in the UFC????????????? bizarre

People seem to be forgetting that Tyson is also coming off a loss, so this win will get him back on track again

Dos Anjos could submit him, but he'll be an underdog for good reason, UD or TKO for Tyson.

I dont think he can keep him on the ground long enough to get it.

Let Tyson face Nate Diaz, and give Dos Anjos to Clay Guida.

A close decision loss to Sean Sherk isn't your typical loss. Griffin should be given a better opponent. Dos Anjos didn't look too bad until he nearly got his head punched off, but there's no way he should be fighting Griffin right now.

This fight card looks pretty solid, and it's in Tennessee so I'll be there.
