“If I could fight the guys in the UFC in a Muay Thai fight, I think I would destroy them, it wouldn’t even be close. I wouldn’t have to hold back. But you’ve got to worry about the takedowns and stuff like that…I’m getting to the point where it’s hard for anybody to take me down. I mean [Kang’s] going to have to work really hard. If he’s on his best day, his best performance, it’s still going to be hard for him to take me down at all and then if he does then I’ve got a couple of tricks up my sleeve for him. You never know, I’m might slap a triangle or something on him.”

i dont think belcher will slap a triangle on anyone in the ufc. as muay thai goes, belcher is is a good match up for kang. both are pretty explosive strikers on the ground. it really depends which kang shows up on saturday; the guy who used to be a p4p contender, or the guy who loses to B level fighters.

i think he'll show up for this fight, after that who knows.....but first apperance in the octagon i think will motivate him to show up at the top of his game, and if he does, i see him winning, but you never know, belcher is a pretty legit first fight

it would be a huge disappointment for me as a denis kang fan if he can't get by alan belcher. in my mind kang is on another level. we will see.... soon enough.

I don't know if makes him have dillusions, but training with one of the top P4P fighters in the world does have it advantages. Belcher might be onto somthing with his wretling in reverse tactics against Kang.

I also will be pulling for Alan. But fighters that have recently trained with GSP have done well. Jardine won his last fight. Rashad KO'ed Chuck and tko'ed FG. David Louisea has won eough fights outside the UFC to get invited back. GSP had an ok showing against Fitch. Donald Cerrone earned a shot at the LW belt against Jamie Varner in the W.E.C. Pat Cote did enough is somebody's eyes to get a shot at championship gold. I'm only saying that there are many more "reasons" people could use to back up their arguement with by selecting Kang.
