Slow down. Take a deep breath. And promise me you won’t go overboard or take this as gospel.

_______________________________________ "To me the records were just a starting point," recalls John Paul Jones, "The most important thing was always the stage show. So many great nights. At our worst we were still better than most. At our best we could just wipe the floor with the lot of them. It was just a very good live band."

i've just read about this too... this would be great for mma fans i presume as it is not the ufc but the Fertitta brothers that have reportedly bought it they will be keeping seperate from the UFC.... this should keep all the great stuff from PRIDE as well as allowing cross-promotion fights... FEDOR fighting in the UFC anyone????

PRIDE is such a big brand name in Japan, Zuffa would have to be off their rockers to dissolve it. There's already a huge fan base for PRIDE in Japan...don't do anything to screw with it.

Other than put a freaking fence around that damn ring. Resets suck.
Oh...and quit showing #$%^ing shots of the crowd when the fight is going on.

Let's see what happens on Wednesday.
I've said this before. The best situation would be if PRIDE was kept separate and there was one HUGE, joint, end of year pay-per-view:
Champ vs. Champ and #1 Contender vs. #1 Contender
Hendo would have to give up one belt and they might have to do catch weights for LW and WW, but that would be awesome.

Is this the same website that announced that Royce got 13 million dollars to fight Hughes and that Vera had signed a huge contract with Pride? Not an accusation but a question...

It's also the site that broke Cro Cop several weeks early and a host of other stories. Josh is usually careful. Like I said though, wed. will decide.

Bloody beautiful, hopefully this is true, though read reports that they would keep PrideFC as a separate organisation, same as what they are doing with WEC.
Hopefully then they can put on a yearly event of UFC Vs PrideFC. At least we will then see fighters from both organisations facing each other. Aka Chuck Vs Wandy,

"It's bullshit. You can't believe what you read on the internet and as a matter of fact I just got off the phone with Japan and unless I'm being lied to Pride has not been sold and is not being sold to anyone, especially to Zuffa. We are in the process of making some ground breaking deals that will be bringing in large sums of revenue to the company and making it stronger than ever."
Jerry Millens latest respose a while ago on this subject...Hopefully this is true.
