Pun intended, of course. The numbers are out and FEG's target of 15% ratings in Japan was not achieved. The rating came in at about 12%, not much lower than 2007 but still below expectations.

Still trying to win back the fans after the Pride debacle. With Kid and masato they`re numbers are obviously going to be better. This was a pretty american style card.

I didn't see the whole event, and I think every fight I saw ended in the first round, but I was eager to see those matchups. It was fairly exciting.

Certainly they will keep going as an organization but it looks like the world economy might be affecting combat sports. Maybe it was because the lack of Japanese fighters on the card, who knows.

Actually, every MMA Rules fight ended in round 1 except Sakuraba-Tamura.
