With his violent knockout victory over Wanderlei Silva at Saturday's "UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008" event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson (29-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) could get an immediate shot to reclaim his belt.

i hope he gets rashad just because he deserves it, if you lose you belt in the fashion rampage did you deserve an immediate rematch, he did his job against wand and he deserves another shot at the belt.

I think this to be a completely approppriate matchup. Even though most of you will continue to pick against Rashad simply because you don't like him, he'll mop the floor with Rampage. Quinton has nothing on Rashad. Rashad is better in every single aspect of MMA than Rampage. But most of you tend to let your hopes and dreams guide your picks. Good method. Quit hatin' Rashad is the best, and most of you were wrong.

One win to earn a title shot? I wouldn't complain, but it seems a little premature. This division is no less stacked than it was on Friday, imo. I think Machida deserves a shot if he beats Silva next month. I might put Rampage against Shogun Rua, assuming Shogun defeats Coleman and looks good doing it.

^^not only that one win he got last night but the fashion he lost the belt in, if he would have gotten KOed or Submitted by Griffin then its a different story but he barely lost to Griffin it was such a close fight

we will see, if you ask me rashad is rampage, they are the exact same fighter. looks like another coin flip like the fight looked to be last night.

I kind of agree with you here. While they look a lot different doing it, I think they have the same strengths. The only differences IMO, is Rampage is the more powerful fighter, while Rashad is the more athletic.

I'm really getting sick of you to be honest. The only thing that ever comes out of your mouth is "WAHH WAHHH BOOO HOOO EVERYONE HATES RASHAD!!" 35% of the people on the site picked Rashad, and basically every single person that I saw picking Forrest said that it was a hard fight to pick and that Rashad had a good chance to win.

I'm sick of listening to you crying like a little baby because people don't pick the fighter you like. If you want to have a discussion about fighters' strengths and weaknesses go ahead. If you want to berate and belittle everyone, do us all a favour and shut your mouth.

i almost completely agree with you.....i say almost, cuz i do think that it wouldnt be premature for rampage, given how he originally lost the belt, and the performance he put on in a still top 10 lhw last night....but your right in the fact that the division is no less stacked than it was on friday and if anybody else gets a title shot i believe that it should be lyoto, given that he gets past silva....and then the perfect scenario would be a fight against shogun given that he wins

What the hell bro? That rant was uncalled for. You act like your above everyone because your boy is winning fights. Nobody in this thread had said anything negative about Evans.

Winner of Machida vs Silva fight should get the next title fight, go ahead give Rampage the fight he wants with Forrest, then he should the next title fight after the Silva vsMachida fight.
