I have been running this game in the MMA Forum. I am starting a new season so please join in.

The season will run from Jan to Dec 2009.

Slight change to last season: I am going back to my original format were the people who pick there team will vote for my 4 bonus categories.

Here goes:

Before each UFC event everyone pick a team of 5 fighters who are fighting on that card. 1 from each weight class. the fighters will qualify for the weight class that they are fighting at that event. If there is a weight class not represented at that event then you can choose any one on the card regardless of weight, that will class as a open weight choice.

The points will be

3 pts = win
1pt = loss
2 pts = draw/No contest.

After each event we will then do a vote on the fighters on the card:

There will be 4 sections.

KO/TKO of the night

Tapout of the night

Fight of the night

Fighter of the night

The winner in each category will earn an additional 5 pts.

Fighter of the night can be for any reason you see fit for eg:

Pulling off an upset
spectecular performance or finish to the fight
showing a lot of heart in defeat ie Mark Bocek v Mac danzig.

It will just be UFC not any others but because it will be very interactive im hoping it would make it very ineresting.

quick question, rabi.

for the four categories...each will give you five points? so someone has the potential of getting an extra 20, if all their picks happen to be the bonus? example:

ww= FOTN
mw-KOTN
lw-SOTN
HW-FighterOTN

also. if you were to pick the loser of a fight, who was involved with fight of the night...do you get the bonus. example: forrest lost, but was involved with fight of the night. he gets paid the bonus.....do we get the points?

i am curious about the new format. alot more chances for people to come back, or get nice leads.

Yes every one could get an extra 20 pts. The loser involved in FOTN would also get the bonus. 6 pts instead of 1.

If you had an OW pick and you thought a certain fight was gonna be FOTN you could pick both fighters.
