Oh definatly, Fitch is a much bigger name at the moment than Bonnar, and Gono is much more well known than Jones as well. We have no idea if Bonnar will even look himself after that injury, but we know Gono Vs Fitch will be a freakin' war, hopefully Bonnar ends things quickly so we can see this prelim

Yeah, this is what came to my mind as well..

Bonnar after getting that Contract hasn't really been used/promoted even though he was part of the fight that made MMA as big as it is today.

Well bonnar had the roid thing so thats what slowed him down. As for Fitch I can't see how that makes for good business not having that fight on. who knows the thinking.

Yeah pretty freakin strange but I see a few of these fights going quick so I'm sure well all be enjoying a Gono beatdown at the hands of Fitch.

I really don't think it matters. Jones is going to KO Bonnar in 2 minutes, so we'll probably get to see both fights.

To quote the Captain...Well You're Wrong! Here's why: Equal parts name recognition elsewhere in the card plus apparently they expect Fitch-Gono to be...dare I say it...boring.

Regarding Jon Fitch working the undercard on the UFC PPV on 1/31, it had nothing to do with the contract issues the two sides have had. Basically, the feeling was that Nate Diaz and Clay Guida had to go live and that Stephan Bonnar was a more recognizable name than Fitch or Karo Parisyan. Basically, either Karo vs. Dong Hyun Kim or Fitch vs. Akihiro Gono was ending up on the undercard, and Kim's fight got the nod because his fight was the more likely of the two to be exciting.
