The latest chapter in the on-again off-again saga of Mirko Cro Cop on the K-1 Dynamite!! card now has him on again. This time he's confirmed for a K-1 Rules match against Korean giant Hong-Man Choi.

After it's been kicked off or before? After all, he's giving away somewhere between 3-6 inches to Choi, I think. And true, Choi almost certainly is no Melvin Manhoef, but he is a giant compared to CC.

I was under the assumption he was going to be taking time off the recover from the injury that supposedly put him out of the fight with allister? I what his exuse is for dropping that fight then taking another one at the same event as soon as Allister is tied up....

Somebody is scared of Overeem. And with good reason.

Crocop would probably still lost to Overeem. Alistair was/is better than him right now. But never underestimate the power of crushed nuts. Dude got nailed there more than 2 times. That's ReALLY rought to take. I've taken one shot in the nards in sparring WITH a cup on by a talented heavyweight and continued with my fight but my heart was with my balls not my fists. I thought i was going to pee blood and not have kids.

Isn't Choi 7'2? If so then Cro Cop gives up a foot and about 120lbs. The fight with Overeem was called off by FEG not Cro Cop. I hope he stays in K-1, but I don't think this is a great fight to take lol.

I agree. Not a good fight to take at all. There is no upside imo.
If he beats Choi he's gained nothing, as this is the sort of guy he should beat. But if he loses then........well.......who knows ?

Quite obvious what Crocop is doing. His career is on the decline and he will never be a top heavy weight again. Still to resort to having fight the side shows makes me sad. I'd rather see him lose to Overeem than dominate Hongman

Guess he really is afraid of Allister now. He was getting owned by him anyways. Cro Cop has not been the same in awhile. He did not fight good in the UFC at all. Just my opinion but I dont think he will ever be top notch again.

Neither do I. That head kick from Gabriel Gonzaga knocked it all out of him.

It might make a new end of his highlight reel.....KOing Hong with a head kick!
Makes sense to not take overeem as he was most likely to lose that one but they could have found him someone else, surely.

this sounds like it's being done for either ratings or to protect guys (in this case CC, Mousasi, and Kawajiri) since if they lose in kickboxing matches here it's probably not as bad as losing in an MMA rules match.

its been said already, but ill reiterate, CC did not back out of a fight with overeem, FEG scrapped it. so dont call a guy that was one of the greatest HWs this young sport has seen out as being scared of anyone as you sit behind your keyboard.
now that thats outta the way, HMCs knees are the scariest thing for CC in this fight, theres no way any can hit him in the grapes, and im sure that hes been training almost purely nut defense up until now so legal knees might be a problem. i really hope he gets a win here if for nothing else, some confidence.
