Swick landed a perfectly placed right to the chin that knocked Goulet down, but Swick didn’t hesitate and admire his work. He was on top of Goulet instantly and landed nearly 20 hard blows before referee Dan Miragliotta stopped the fight at the 33-second mark.
“I felt good when it hit,” Swick said of the punch that began the end of Goulet’s night. “But I was thinking three punches ahead. When that punch landed, in my mind, I was already in the flurry.”
Swick moved to welterweight after a disappointing loss to Yushin Okami in his hometown of Houston last year at UFC 69. And though he’d gotten criticized by some for his performance against Josh Burkman in his welterweight debut in January, Swick has proven he’s going to be a factor in the 170-pound class with wins over Marcus Davis at UFC 85 in June and against Goulet.

A newborn infant's arm movement would KO Goulet. Now I'd want to see Swick vs. Koscheck or Fitch but they're all AKA pals and Alves is already the #1 contender. I'd like to see the UFC bring in Paul Daley for Swick's next opponent.

I dont think Swick is near getting a title shot after the the goulet win because that was a #1 contender fight. I'd say Swick would have to take out someone else in impressive style and most likely a contender.

Agreed with 20. Swick doesnt deserve the title. If he beats Hazelet and then someone like Kos or Fitch, he can have and will have earned his shot.

That would be so sick. Swick is incredibly underrated on the ground though, he could quite easily just take Daley down and sub him or grind out a UD. If they decided to slug it out though, its fotn without even knowing who else would be on the card.
