Another MMA Rules fight has been added to K-1 Dynamite!! on 12/31. This time it's Mark Hunt vs. Jerome LeBanner, which indicates that an arm injury JLB suffered at the K-1 WGP is apparently not serious.

And it's far from finished, but it took a hit today too-no (Yoshihiro) Akiyama. he's still a big draw over there so from the Japanese standpoint that will hurt.
Aoki-Alvarez is now also official.

Akiyama is the guy the Japanese love to hate, especially after his bout with Sakuaraba which was turned into a "no contest" for greasing before the fight. I really want to see Akiyama again, and it almost seems odd to not have him on this card. Either way I'm just as pumped for this card as I am for UFC 92.
Hunt vs JLB looks like an awesome fight on paper. I'm thinking it isn't going to be the slugfest many anticipate. More likely Hunt will take him down and use his weight advantage to keep him there.

At the end of the article I linked to. There's another quote ruling him out.

I know that there are lots of Mark Hunt fans on the playground but seriously are you kidding me. Hunt's last performance could almost be classified as his worst of all time and quite shameful. If he doesn't come back in actual fighting shape this is gonna be a massacre courtesy of my boy Jerome.

Well I think it's safe to say that JLB won't submit him. Mark still put Overeem down with ease.

The Mark Hunt of old better show up because Jerome is always in shape, but I got Mark "The Un-Killable" Hunt by decision or late TKO from Jerome's bum elbow.

In Mark's defense he has faced 3 top 10 HW's in his last 3 fights (Josh Barnett, Fedor, and Alistair Overseem).
I don't think his last outing was shameful at all. He cracked Alistair with a right hook, sent him to the ground, and quickly gained side control. Alistair's sub game was just too much and he got caught in an armbar...something I don't think he'll have to worry about with JLB. As far as being in shape...well Mark is never going to be on the cover of Mens Health. He came in looking like he always does, but he can keep a pace to the final bell.

For that fight make headbutts legal just to prove who has the harder dome. I think Mark Hunt wins this. He'll be able to stand with LeBanner and bang out a decision.

I think with the smaller glove and Hunts power it will be hard for JLB not to get KO'd, he isn't known for a solid chin and Hunt can trade without worry.
