In a sport where an evening of hyperextensions and blood-faucet noses is considered getting off lightly, it should come as little surprise that some real savages occasionally enter the ring. You’ve got to have a misplaced synapse or two to eat pain for a living.

I'm a fan of "Mr Yellow Card" despite being a dirty fighter. He hasn't had an infraction in 4 years, so hopefully the Athletic commision will also take that into consideration when reviewing his checkered past.

I enjoyed this read very much. He makes some great points about the confusing decision making on Affliction's part. I've been pining to see Roger Gracie fight on American soil. Also to think when you have a top 20 guy like Monson on the market, why not?
Affliction needs to get their heads on straight imo, and pick up fighters for skill rather than their possible "marketablility" as a bad boy.

I dunno you have a guy who can KO anyone at any time and a guy who is getting up there in years and has a style that doesn't appeal to fans, hmm who needs to get their head on straight?

That article was pretty harsh, too much of a convservative opinion for my taste though I'm not condoning the infractions. I just think overall ppl should get a chance to compete in all combat sports because like gun laws he has the right to bare knees n' cannons. I'm a fan and I hope he gets KO number 31, theres a turnaround story for ya.

Yvel is anything but professional and should be treated as such. Hopfully the CSAC will not let him fight.

Great title to the article.
I would think that he would be allowed to fight. There is a new athletic commissioner in California and who knows how hard of a line he'll hold. He's already instituted a new drug testing procedure for the state. He might choose to make an example of Yvel.
