Almost as soon as it was revealed "Razor" Rob McCullough's fight with Marcus Hicks has been scratched from WEC 38 on Jan. 25 in San Diego, Calif.

McCullough's manager, Ken Pavia of MMA Agents, informed MMAWeekly.com of the change. Citing a grueling 16-week camp the former lightweight champion went through in preparation for his last fight with Donald Cerrone at WEC 36, Pavia said McCullough would not be ready to face Hicks.

Kind of strange as it will have been about three months between fights. As of late though it seems like he's been taking 4-5 months in between fights as opposed to 06' when he was extremely active.

I think it was a really good matchup for him. A high-caliber opponent that I think he matches up well with.

good choice razor, need to sharpen up on a few cans before facing Hicks, he would have demolished you. The WEC is a brave new world.

Hicks woulds beat him standing and on the ground. The only place I would give rob an advantage would be in the clinch.

Rob dodged a bullet or a wrecking ball in this case, but I dont think i would like to fight every 3 months theres like no break after you fight.
