All i have to say is WAR DANA !!!

i think Dana is right but the way he reacted was ridiculously overboard. cutting the #3 welterweight in the world is just stupid, not to mention he might cut Koscheck and Cain Velasquez and that would honestly be preposterous. hopefully they can work something out because i'm really angry

Really whats next football teams can't cut people....

Or better yet they (meaning Zuffa) has to resign Filho cuz he is a so called ranked fighter??

Take your business else where if it makes you so mad, I personally am going to wait for the whole story to come out before I get all crazy

Here's the thing. While I agree with the fact that a lifetime contract is really crazy, I don't think that casual MMA fans are even going to miss Fitch, Cain, Kos, or many of these fighters. I mean two or three months ago people were bitching about Kos and how boring he was. I really think that you are seeing another Couture situation here and I doubt that Fitch will fight outside the UFC and if he does, then what marketability does he have? He got dominated by GSP and called a timeout against Jeff Joslin.

I agree. people are saying that the UFC is going to pay for this, I just don't see how that happens.

Think about it there are probably only about 100,000. people that read this type of article on the internet, and of those maybe half of them would actually do something about it. Like not watching a UFC. Now look at how many people bought the last UFC 1.2 million. If you average 3 - 5 people per buy, that is a minimum of 3.6 million people that watched it. I really don't see this hutrting the UFC much.

You're confusing me, stock. Who's AFA? Do you mean AKA?

Fitch can fight ANYWHERE. He may not have much marketability right now, but when you become the champion of your division, that changes. He could easily be the champ in any other organization.

I realize that you are from Fitch's hometown and I too reside in Indiana and really enjoy the Indiana fighters. However, are you seriously comparing the Affliction or whatever other companies Welterweight title to the UFC Welterweight title? Fitch isn't that marketable and if he was the UFC would not have gotten rid of a talent in this way. Fitch is simply a gatekeeper and will only hold down other talent. Fitch's best win is a split decision victory over Diego Sanchez? He beat Alves in '06 but in MMA that's a long time ago.

Well there's always two sides to every story, but if this is exactly what it's over, Dana again, is proving what a little kid he is when he doesn't get his way. How the hell do you completely cut Fitch, beyond ridiculous. I hope every member of AKA gets cut so maybe Dana will finally get his head out of his ass.

Fitch is the one that seems to be the most concrete. Cain also seems to be on the chopping block as dana commeneted on him and even said "**** him" for asking for special treatment when big UFC stars have already signed the same deal. He hasnt commented on Koscheck yet, but Dana he wasnt going to deal with any of the guys from AKA, except Swick. So Kos is probably among those that dont want to sign it.

In another article I read it stated that the UFC is probably pushing these fighters to sign because there is another game company talking about designing a game.

Dana King strikes again!!!!!!!!! I don't understand how anyone who works for a living can possibly side with him. He only cares about the bottom line of zuffa productions. how can he honestly say he cares about the sport when he is constantly making moves that prevent great fights from happening! I really hope this is the beginning of the end .

M Aurelio, C Wellish, P Filho, J Fitch, F Werdum, and J Lambert have all been cut right?

Here's my thing. The guys with 2-2 records should get another shot. The guys with losing records can go. BUT Why in the world get rid of a guy that gave GSP the best run for his money since Serra beat him???

And now the UFC wants to cut Cain V and Kos????? Two guys that if they are not ranked now, they should or will be soon...(in my opinion)

All of this.........BUT.......Patrick Cote gets a title shot ??? Didn't it take Pat a little over 4 years to get a UFC win? But the UFC wants to cut Kos and Fitch?...

This is cr*p and I think another company needs to show the UFC that they are not the only game in town!

Over the years I've never seen Dana act like this. I wonder if the bs with Tito's attitude "rubbed-off" on Dana?...just a thought.

This is one of the many things Fedor cited as why he wouldn't sign with them. And yet many people (at the time) thought he was exaggerating or lying because he is scared of top competition.

Seems like at most 7 or 8 guys will get cut because of this, most from the same camp. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to every other fighter on the UFC roster, just seems like a problem for this one camp, in my opinion.

I woulden't sign it, Fitch would be a big star for Affliction or in Japan. Hell Strikeforce could sign him.
