"There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be in Toronto," White continued. "We’ve got a (clean) nine-year record of health and safety. There is absolutely no reason for Canada to not accept this sport. There’s an education factor; we need to educate people.

"I’m going after Canada after (I get approval in) New York and Massachusetts. I’m attacking Canada. I’m going to spend so much time in Canada I’ll have to buy a house. I’m going to live here until it’s done. I’m going to be sitting on the porch every day they come to work."

"Everybody I bumped into was from Canada," he said, adding that having St-Pierre fight in Toronto is a no-brainer. "This fight (between St-Pierre and Penn) should have been in Toronto or Hawaii.

"Canada is a huge market for us. Toronto is the mecca, this is the place to be as far as MMA is concerned."

I would most definitely go to an event in Toronto. My guess is that it will happen in late 2010 or mid 2011 for the UFC to get through Ontario. Glad to see his enthusiasm.

This is a no brainer.

MMA fans are hardcore in Ontario.
Love to see it hit Toronto.

I don't know man, that Montreal crowd seems unbeatable. But Toronto will be a shorter drive for me! And I'd be able to crash at my cousin's house instead of paying for a hotel.

Yeah I dont know guys. I`m in Ottawa an either would be great but the crowd in Montreal was INSANE for GSP/Serra 2. I would hope Toronto could be even better but that will remain to be seen.

I just learned (big article in the paper today) the both GSP and BJ were in Toronto and I didn't even know. Either I am slipping in my old age or there was no information ahead of time.

Here's a clip they did at Sportsnet Rush.

Penn & GSP in Toronto

I think Toronto would rival Montreal's event if not out do it. For some reason I've always dreamed of a UFC event at the Rogers Center. It would be Unique thats for sure but probably too big of a Venue for the UFC.

Having mma legalized in toronto would be awesome not just for the UFC but for the sport in general. As far as comparing Toronto to Montreal when it comes to crowds we Quebecois are reconized as being crazy so am ready to bet that the xrowd in montreal was louder than toronto will be

(for people close to the border of quebec and ontario am just trying to stur up some sh$t lol)

No way I would miss it when it happens. I already regret not going to Montreal but I'd have no excuse this time.

One problem with Toronto is that the ACC is very busy over the hockey season. Both the Leafs and Raptors share it over the winter. You'd be hard pressed to get a Sat. night spot at the ACC.

I think it would happen.

Yeah the Raptors and Leafs play, but dont forget they both have ALLSTAR weekends, i dont think it could happen that quick anyhow but that would be a good time.

Either way, ACC would be amazing for it, and ACC is beautiful for an event. Have been there for NHL and NBA, love the arena.

I will be there for sure, and who knows hopefully bump into some of you guys.

It would depend where the event is held...if its at the ACC...which is the most likely you're right, Montreal will keep its attendance record.

Toronto "might" sell out FASTER but they wont sell more tickets simply because the arena is smaller. If they could feasably use Rogers Center it would be far and away the biggest UFC ever.

yeah agreed on the selling faster and yeah rogers center is pretty damn big but imagine making the event at the Olympic Stadium... that would be ridiculous
