i got machida by decision, as always...but i think its gonna be more exciting than the average machida fight (even tho i enjoy every one from a technical standpoint)....i say that cuz silva brings it, he doesnt stop coming at ya.....that stratagy could get him ko'd, but i doubt it

Counter fighters need aggressive fighters to really make an exciting fight, so I think it's perfect matchmaking. Unfortunately for Silva his Chute Boxe style of coming forward and throwing caution to the wind is tailor-made for Machida's counter style.

I think people wil be impressed with what Machida can bring when he's pushed. I expect this fight to end in a TKO, as two other very aggressive strikers (Stephan Bonnar an Rich Franklin) have been finished when they get aggressive (granted Bonnars was due to a cut).

You'd better hope so. Otherwise I'd be glad to remove your creepy chocolate guy from that gross commercial.

I could care less about this fight they both haven't fought any one and everyone is all crazy over them being undefeated. If Rich and Machida were to fight today Rich would take it he is now a much more technical fighter now. They both have not fought Wandy,Rashad,Rampage,Chuck, any top ten guys. I just don't understand why all the other top ten guys don't take fights outside the top ten ranking, but both of them always fight guys who are up and coming and now there fighting for a title shot :(

I am expecting this match to go down sometime in my grandchildren's generation. It would be a perfect way to top off UFC 1000!

Thiago Silva has beat NOBODY worthy of even stepping into the octagon with Machida. we are going to see yet another overrated fighter in Thiago Silva fall when Machida finishes him in the second.

my question is how true are the rumors that they have a hard time getting guys to agree to want to fight Lyoto.. i hear rumors that top ranked guys are asked to fight Lyoto and they all decline the matches.. if this type of stuff is true.. well then Lyoto gets more respect from me then before.. true I would love to see him fight higher caliber fighters but I think he is as good and he would be most if not all of them...

Machida has beaten that guy pictured in your avatar. What's his name again? Oh yeah, BJ Penn.
