I saw that a few people were upset that Gesias is getting the shot at Hansen before alvarez and it got me to thinking... who would win if the two matched-up against each other.

I would personally give the fight to JZ. His Muay Thai skills give him more tools to strike with at range than Alvarez, and his power is arguably just as good.

Yea i think he'd take Alvarez right now, i'd say by decision if it were with how the Dream rounds are (one 10 min, 2nd 5 mins)

JZ is a beast, but i'd take Alvarez at this point. He's performing on a whole other level. I think he's stronger than Calvancanti and is just as athletic. His wrestling is good enough to control him on the ground and his boxing is strong enough to put JZ out on his feet. Alvarez via mid to late 2nd round (t)ko.

They are both extremely good fighters, but I would give a slight edge to Alvarez.

Alvarez, his wrestling would win him a decision imo as he gets the better positioning and does the most damage

Think JZ drops him, Alverez was rocked by Kawajiri and Hansen so I think JZ would finish it.

Alvarez was getting hit alot in his fight with kawajiri(though he was landing the more meaningful shots), i think someone like gesias who is leaps and bounds a better striker than Kawajiri would have better success at keeping his range and landing hard shots of his own.

Through his more eclectic & technical stand-up game and well roundedness i think gesias pulls this off.
