Although Rich Franklin acknowledges rumors and news about him possibly being a coach on The Ultimate Fighter 9, he says UFC hasn't approached him about it yet. He says it's not something he's particularly interested in doing again, although he did put the "Show me the money" spin on it in not flat out saying no.

I'd rather see Hendo as the coach. I wasn't really all that impressed with either Franklin or Hughes on season 2, but Hendo is the leader of Team Quest, and I've always wanted to get a bit more insight into the things that he does, since he fought in PRIDE for most of his career.

Other than Hendo or Franklin, I'm not sure who they'd get, especially since they'll probably want a 185 fighter to face Bisping after the show is over (maybe on the Finale..that would be very nice).

I'd rather see Hendo as well but i think Franklin could coach but he seems more of a solo guy that works insanely hard more then a pusher.

rich is one of my favorites, so id love to see him on the show.

but i think the job is better suited for henderson. rich recently went up to 205 and i think he should stay there. Bisping will be staying at 185 and he's already a coach so i see the other coach weighing the same.

Henderson would also be a fun coach to watch. And, if the fight at the end, Bisping v Henderson ( ) would be to determine the next challenger for the belt, then rich has no business there. i dont think even he has interest in fighting silva again. Henderson and Bisping, however, would jump at the chance.

Notre Dame has a pretty good football team. . . .
but Charlie Weiss didnt play college football. Now he may have played in high school, but anyone can do that.
Just as in football, you dont have to be the best fighter to teach fighting.
And Rich Franklin knows how to teach. . . . It did bring in his pay check for a while.
Rich Franklin would be good on TUF.

Henderson would make a better coach just because who ever one the fight between bisping and henderson, they would be the Number 1 contender. Rich has a long way to go to get a title shot at light heavyweight and there is no way he will ever face silva again, there is no point.

How good of a coach you are has nothing to do with how good of a fighter you are. People need to stop worrying about title shots, and worry about someone who will prepare these young fighters to enter the UFC.
