Before Dan Lauzon debuts for Affliction against Chris Horodecki on Jan. 24, he will first get the chance to stay sharp in his game as he returns to World Championship Fighting on Nov. 14 to fight Justin Hammertrum in a lightweight contest on their upcoming card.
Lauzon was slated to face Horodecki at the Affliction: Day of Reckoning show when it had been slated for earlier this month, but the show was postponed. Opposed to sitting out for several months before stepping into his next fight, the youngest fighter to ever compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship will instead get a tune-up fight first.

He better hope that he doesn't get hurt. A fight against Horodecki at Affliction is not only a good fight for him, but great exposure. Being the little brother of Joe does help his chances to continue to get fights, and his exposure on the TAPOUT show doesn't hurt either. I just hope he doesn't get hurt, and odd are he won't. But MMA is so unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen next, and I think a fight with Chris would be a great fight to watch, so hopefully, this next fight will go quick and easy for him so he'll be more than prepared coming into the January 24th matchup with Chris.

i know some fighters gotta fight to live 7 he might be doing this to get the paycheck or for contractual purposes, but doesnt this seem a lil risky???

Agreed I think with the way things are going unless your in the UFC I wouldn't be confident on having a job for a next event until it happens.
That's just me but yea if I was in his position id do it to take the money and be a main event.
Sure thing over what could be any day in this sport.

I think Affliction is decently solid for now. They have locked Fedor up exclusive which tells me they think they can make a few events happen for sure. What bothers me is if they keep waiting this long between cards they will lose any word of mouth and memory of their events from the general public. I would like to see them spread their talent out a bit more, I mean I love loaded cards but even the UFC doesn't stack cards like Affliction seems to want to do.

I don't hink it' a big deal because it's still almost 2 1/2 months in between fights. That said I don't think he stands much of a chance against Chris. His standup is just too crisp for Dan. I don't think he'll get knocked out but he's going to lose a one-sided deciion.
