looks better for college if you don't quit. this same thing happened to my soccer team, but everyone stayed solely based on the fact that it would look bad on a transcript to just quit. ?
That kind of thing is on your transcript?
i meant application, idk why i said transcript. you send colleges an activity sheet to make you more than just your transcript, and if you show a pattern of quitting you are a less appealing candidate for their school. on the other hand, if you stick with it, it shows commitment which colleges love.
It's all about the SAT or ACT. Score in the range your school of choice will automatically accept and nothing else matters... not even high school GPA.

I can;t make your decision or really suggest cause I don't know all the factors. First I would ask 1. Do you feel your playing your best throughout the whole game and determined to win 2. Do you think all the other players are giving their best 3. Is football your main athletic priority or do you also like MMA (or anything else) more.
I am on my soccer team and our school is very small so we are limited to who we choose to play. Last year, we had 11 players who gave their best and made sure each other knew if one was slacking. Our team was 7-0 and lost our last game to a school 5 times the size of ours. I was very proud of that season and what our team did. This year we have about 5 or 6 players from last year who didnt graduate so the team has relatively changed. This team isn;t the same at all. I run the defense and try to teach my side defenders basic things to follow that are very easy and capable for any skill level but they continue to make the same mistakes, get frustrated, and never change. Also a few of our offensive guys think they should only try when they have the ball and a chance at the goal. You never see them fight to get the ball in their possession and they allow the ball to get dribbled all the way down to the other end of the field.
For me, my season is almost over but now that I look back at it, I wished I dedicated my time to something I was in more control of then other people who werent dedicated. I couldve been training in submission grappling with way more disipline but wasted it in my opinion on this season. So for me I answered those questions 1. I gave my all like last season and put submission grappling second to my soccer team. 2. About half my team was on the same page from last year but the rest rather not lose their breath than a game. 3. I need to now focus on achieving my goal to be doing MMA
This is my conclusion cause I no longer enjoy the sport because of my team and I know some dont do their best. It could be completely different for you. If you think everyone is trying hard and you all want to win, keep trying. The team we had that was 7-1 was 0-7 two years before but we all tried and progressed to what we all cause we knew if we hustled, we would improve and win.
I doubt youll read this all but I felt the topic spoke to part of my life and had to put this out here

Playing football is awsome, and yeah its fun, and its even better when you win but jeez 41 to 7 were the laughing stock of Tennessee though.
If you quit you'll be the laughing stock of all Tennessee and your whole team.
Stick with it

I'm sticking it out the rest of the year, cause there is only 3 games left, just trying to figure out if I should play next year.
