New DREAM Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi announced not only plans to move up to 205 in MMA, but also to pursue a boxing world title. Mousasi believes his management company, who also represents Fedor Emelianenko, has strategic partnerships in place that will allow him to pursue a boxing career. No timetable set for a boxing debut.

Would love to see Mousasi fight Anderson Silva. This guy is pretty damn good. Hope he doesn't got to boxing.

I wouldn't mind seeing him box Andre Arlovski, but I think Arlovski would dominate.

Arlovski is way bigger, I'd like to see him box Anderson and then fight Anderson.

Isn't he supposed to be fighting Akiyama next?

I don't think anything official has been announced, but Mousasi did bring up Akiyama's name as a possible opponent in the post fight of the GP.

Dream needs to test Akiyama, and give him someone formidable instead of these Japanese cans.

As far as I know he's supposed to be figting Vitor Belfort at the next Affliction show in January.

To me it's kind of dissapointing because he is one of the top MW's and the last thing the division needs is talent leaving. I never really felt like hewas going to end up in the UFC and since he seems to have a strong interest in pursuing a boxing career as well, it might as well be the nail in the coffin as far as possibilities of him coming to the UFC.

I think he can be just as good at 205. He was a pretty big MW so I don't think he's going to be giving away too much size. Just wish he'd stay at MW personally.
