if you had to place one person with each fighting style, who would be the representative for their style.......so who was the first to use it effectivly, or who was the early fac or representative for the style
example: BJJ= gracie family
so who are the rest
wrestling judo mui thai boxing/striking kickboxing etc

Wrestling-Dan Severn Boxing-I don't remember his name off the top of my head, but the guy who faced Royce Gracie in (I think) UFC 1 and fought with a boxing glove on one hand Shootfighting-Ken Shamrock

There was no high level Judo in UFC 1. A lot of people feel like that's the case because Judo deals with the ground game and they wanted to be able to showcase how far ahead BJJ is on the ground. A judoka represented a threat to that.
Art Jimmerson was the boxer, but he wasn't a great boxer.

wrestling: Dan Severn
judo: surprisingly nobody was actually effective that I can remember before Hidehoki Yoshia
muay thai (and kickboxing, not sure why these were separated): Bas Rutten
