with two events within a week of each other plus you add another one 3 weeks from that

have two spike specials in one week then another big fight card 2 weeks from that. then a couple weeks later you have another possible free card with two weeks later a huge super bout.

enough fights to entertain you, there are some explosive match ups
i see the pay per views different that the fight nights and tuf finales. they are okay but not great for me.. i look forward to the pay per views and such.
take a look at the main events and co main

ufc 89
bisping vs leban and vera vs jardine

ufc 90
silva vs cote, alves vs sanchez and you throw in a griffin vs sherk which could have been a co main event

ufc 91
lesnar vs couture and florian vs stevenson

ufc 92
mir vs big nog, griffin vs evans, and wandy vs rampage

ufc 93
shogun vs coleman and franklin vs hendo
the shogun fight might not be the co main event

ufc 94
st pierre vs penn, machida vs silva and quite possible serra vs hughes

those are some great fight and co main events compared to
cote vs almeida, franklin vs hamill, or bisping vs jason day co main evnts

I am stoked for all of these cards, I think that Bisping/Leben is a great free fight card. Silva vs. Cote will have some great fights. Of course Couture vs. Lesnar will be amazing. UFC 92 is greater than Affliction, UFC 93 will be awesome, Franklin vs. Hendo is a dream fight. UFC 94 is the one I am most looking foward to.

after the PRIDE downfall and MMA hitting mainstream, the UFC roster have become really good, that's why we have so many good quality cards in a row and I still think the best is yet to come. Just think about all the injury-based canceled fights this year(2007=upsets,2008=injuries), the replacements were really good but still takes some good match-ups from your schedule and you have to rescramble around to build the new fight card. I think that in 2009 if injuries are not that frequent will be even a better year in terms of Fight Card quality from the UFC.
Also, the free events (UFNs, etc.) have been pretty good using well known people mostly from the TUF series.

I'm really excited for UFC 90, I can't wait for Horwich-Miller, Clementi-Maynard, and Sanchez-Alves. Should be a great night of fights.

Clementi-Maynard is gonna be awesome. UFC 90 is in my mind the sexiest card of the year from top to bottom.

At first glance this seems like a blind endorsement for the product, but the truth is that the UFC's roster and the excellent job Joe Silva does of matching the undercard fighters pretty much guarantees that there are a few very good fights (at least) on every card. Plus the production values--on TV or live--are terrific.

I wish I could say the same for boxking, kickboxing, or other MMA orgs but I can't. It's really hit or miss with a lot of those shows.
